Summary of Current Westport Fund I Investments
n December 2003, Westport announced the formation of its second fund, the Westport Senior Living Capital Fund (the “Capital Fund”). The Capital Fund is a venture capital fund that will function as a merchant bank providing early stage and mezzanine capital to the senior housing industry. The Capital Fund will be a $150 million limited partnership with an investment strategy that will include early stage seed capital investments to sponsors of new senior living communities. In addition to Westport, the Capital Fund’s sponsors include Greystone Communities, the leading developer of Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs); Ziegler Securities, the number one investment banker in Senior Living and Rockwood Realty Associates.
